Christmas in August Snow Tour (3 Days)
Join us in the Snowy Mountains in the middle of Winter for our Christmas in August snow trip. We will guide you through the 4wd tracks around the Brindabella Ranges then onto Tumut and up to Tumbarumba where we make our base for the next two nights in the delightful and warm Tumbarumba Motel.
After settling into our rooms we have a fabulous 2 course dinner in their fine restaurant. Then on Sunday we will enjoy a hot cooked breakfast before hitting the trails high in the mountains in the search for snow, wild brumbies and a fabulous lake side area where the lake could be frozen over.
Whilst the snow driving is dependent on the weather, we have had deep snow previously but the scenery and walks that we will guide you through are spectacular, the 4wdriving is also a lot of fun.
On Sunday night we have our Christmas in August dinner complete with bon bons and a visit from Santa! Then on Monday after another fabulous cooked breakfast we will escort you to an amazing lookout over Blowering Dam and the guide you down a somewhat steep trail into the delightful town of Talbingo where we explore the local Snowy hydro sights. Finally we lead you right across the beautiful Snowy Mountains via Kiandra and then via a very scenic country road to the town of Bredbo an hour south of Canberra (Arriving approx. 4.30pm).
Basic Requirements For This Tour
The 4WD
Suitable to 4WDrives with high and low range.
No other vehicle requirements are required
Fuel
A full tank from Canberra (the start point)
You will need to carry 60 litres of diesel or 70 litres of petrol (this includes your fuel tank)
Spares/equipment
A UHF radio – we can hire you a radio
Driver experience
Prior experience not necessary as we will assist you as we go or you might consider attending our driver training course. - Do you require Driver Training?
Food
This tour includes your dinner for two nights & breakfast for two mornings. Not included are lunches, morning/afternoon tea, & alcohol.
Camping gear
Not required, this tour is fully accommodated.

Refund Policy
Tour/Driver Training Deposits are non refundable unless your position can be filled, the deposit may be transferred to another date/tour or course.
Fees are payable from 1 week to 4 weeks prior to the tour/course, you will be advised when the fee is payable. Any cancellation by you after the due date for the full fee will result in forfeiture of your tour fee.
